I had a job offer this morning. Sorta. The Agency called me at 6:45am this morning asking me if I wanted to do a shift at Solowave, the factory I first worked at for only four days. I had yo decline because I didn't have a way into Mount Forest and I'm pretty sure it was the day shift they wanted me to do. They always need fill-ins on the day shift. The shift actually started fifteen minutes before they called me and it would have taken forty-five to an hour to get there if the roads aren't closed because of the winter weather. I don't really want to deal with temp agencies anymore, anyway. I'm sick of them getting paid for the work I do and they get paid more, too.

I applied for a couple jobs yesterday. Only two, actually, because the other two places I went to wouldn't take my resume without an application. So I took the applications home and I'm gonna take them in today when my aunt comes back and can give me a ride to Hanover. The two places are a grocery store and Wal*Mart. Hopefully I can get into Wal*Mart so I can get the employee discount for some Christmas shopping. xD

This Saturday I'll be in London helping my sister move into her new appartment. There's gonna be a lot of heavy lifting. My cousin Pat is gonna be helping, too, I think. We'll trash the place before we leave. >:3

[info]gigamush is coming over here on Sunday. I'll be giving his PS2 back then and we'll probably play Magic: The Gathering or something like that. We always do. xD Maybe we'll play WarCraft III if he brings his laptop. Trashing bases with him is always fun. Always.

That's it for for today's entry. I might do another tonight if something epic happens between now and then.

It's been a month since I last posted. But I have an excuse. My computer's been dead for a couple weeks. xD I just got it back yesterday, on Sunday 'cause it's already Monday where I am. My sister bought a laptop not too long ago and I could've used that but I hate it with a passion. Even though I picked it out. >.> -cough-

While my computer was dead, I decided to get back into reading. Early this month I went to Wood Badge training to become a cub leader. It was held at a school in Port Elgin, Ontario. The men had their sleeping area in library. There was little time to read but I managed to read a chapter of Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass. I liked it and bought it after the training. The Golden Compass took me a week to read because I also bought Naomi Novik's Empire of Ivory and read it first. Anyway, it was a busy week and I had little time for reading so both books took a week-and-a-half together. But after that I bought The Subtle Knife and finished it in twenty-six hours and three minutes. The Amber Spyglass took even less time than that. xD Needless to say, I love the entire series and I'll be rereading it after I reread Robert Jordan's A Crown of Swords.

I'm still jobless but hopefully not for long. There's a couple openings at the furniture factory my mom works at. If I can get in there full time, my pay will be $12/h at the very least. I think. Not too bad, considering the pay for my last job was $11.60/h and the job before that was $11/h. I haven't had much work but I'm already working my way up. O:

My sister is moving out on December 1. She's moving to London, Ontario, where she'll be going to college. Once she moves out I'll get more room upstairs. The upstairs of my house is a Jack-and-Jill bedroom. (Two bedrooms attached together. You have to go through one to get to the other.) I'll have more room for my stuff so I can sort through it and throw junk out. xD

With all the free time I've had, my Pokemon are almost ready for Wifi battling. I need to find the CD for my adapter first. I have to reinstall it. >.> While I'm on the topic of videogames, I have to return [info]gigamush's PS2 to him sometime soon. He lent it to me and I've had for way too long. And now that I have my computer back, I've been able to play Trickster Online again. I'm sooo close to that second job. 8D

Okay, that's it. I'll leave you with this:

I've had the urge to say that a lot lately. >.> Anyway, it's been a month since I lasted posted here. Stuff's happened. I moved back home to Walkerton because I found a job. Full time at Campbell's Soup in Listowel Ontario. I quit after one day because I felt so sick I couldn't move. Food processing factories aren't fun places to work. Especially when they hire too many people at once and have no work for anyone. None at all. Getting paid $11.60 an hour to stand around sounds nice but it's awfully boring. And nauseating with all those smells. Raw meat + cleaning chemicals = worst shift ever. It was the night shift, too. 10:00pm to 6:00am. I'm not sure if I'll ever do that again. I slept so much I had an hour to panic about what to do before I would have had to leave for work. So called them and said I wasn't coming back.

Now I'm back to where I started, jobless with two options. Option #1: Go back to school. That's not happening. Option #2: McDonald's. Oh, god. Dx I guess I have no choice. Unless I beef myself up and get accustomed to wearing only a bow tie and a thong. Manwhores are cool. >.>

But that's not all that happened. My sister is in Ecuador on a mission trip. Not the kind of mission trip where you help the people and all that. It's the initial eye-opener that will make her see if she really wants to help or not. It's sorta like a vacation. And just from her going, I've learned a bit about the place. The people don't have computers in their homes, but there are Internet cafés on every corner in the cities. There aren't any traffic lights or stop signs so all the drivers are reckless and do most of their turns and stuff on gutshots. The driving part sounds kinda fun. But I know accidents aren't. Seat nelts leave really cool bruises, though. >.>

On Monday October 22nd, 2007 at 7:28am my Aunt Linna gave birth Micah-Lynn Hope Lennox. She's seven pounds and fifteen ounces. She was born without any trouble. She's my aunt's forth child and the easiest birth of the four. She could actually stand up the day after. Which was good because the birthing centre at the hospital was so full they had to send her home a day early. Anyway, Micah, whom I call Mickey, is a very quiet little girl. It's hard to tell if she's sleeping or not. But if you tip her up a little bit, her eyes will get really wide if she's awake. >:3 Her mom says I'm probably already one of Mickey's favourite people. Kinda like with her older sister Amber. If mommy couldn't get Amber to sleep, it had to be me to rock her to sleep. I love children. >.>

Last time I posted in here I had a predicament. PS2 or NDS. I chose NDS. It's pink because real men wear pink shirts and real gamers play pink handhelds.  I bought Pokémon Diamond with it and promptly beat the Elite 4 just a couple days after getting the game. I've been spending all my spare time after that preparing for when I get the Nintendo USB WiFi adapter tonight. Empoleon ftw, by the way. 8D

That's pretty much all I can remember right now. I'll make sure to update more often from now on.

I didn't get around to applying at that casket factory. I spent the day rereading Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince. I also watched my grandfather play online poker. It's kinda funny when he starts swearing when he doesn't get any decent hands. xD  I decided to call my mom up to see if she could take me home for a few hours so I could grab some more books an upload new music to my MP3 player. She pretty much decided that I'm staying the night. So here I am, sitting at my own computer writing this entry. While listening to music, of course.  Music not playing in painful earbuds. Paradise. Too bad I have to go back to my grandparents' place tomorrow to continue my search for a job. Unless I can get one here. Then I can move back in. But I moved in with the grandfolks because there was no work here and probably won't be until spring. In some places "spring" means late February. In Ontario "spring" is supposed to begin on March 20th, my birthday, but it never comes until late April or early May. I have a looooong wait.

In other news, the employment agency owes me almost three-hundred dollars. I might buy my own PS2 'cause I'm borrowing my friend's. But I want a DS. This is a sticky wicket. D: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl or Kingdom Hearts? KH is the only PS2 game I own. The rest belong to my friend. I'm way behind the times with gaming. The music in KH is pretty awesome, but I don't think it can compare to making pixelated creatures attack each other with powerful attacks that could level a city in minutes. Gotta love them poke-a-mans. And there's also all those RPGs on the DS I wanna play. So the DS might win over the PS2. It's a close fight, but the DS seems to be throwing the shinier, more attractive punches.

Maxwell~ "Insert good nickname here" says:
when are you going to be back in town?
Gram O: says:
Don't know. I HAD a job in Mount Forest but they let me go after four days. So I'm going to try to get into Energizer here, but grampa thinks I'll probably get into the casket factory in Mount Forest.
Maxwell~ "Insert good nickname here" says:
hmmm
Maxwell~ "Insert good nickname here" says:
casket eh..
Maxwell~ "Insert good nickname here" says:
sounds fun:P
Maxwell~ "Insert good nickname here" says:
"What do you do for a living?"

"I make caskets b-otch! And I'm making one for you tomorow!"

"...O:"

I had to throw that in here. I'm "Gram O:" and Max well is the friend mentioned above.

I decided I'd add some stuff about my writing in here. I have nothing to put in right now since I don't feel like it, but I'll have something for my next entry. Maybe a couple concept sketches. I suck at drawing, by the way. xD

That's it for today, tata for now.

So, I decided to start an online journal. I have one on Gaia, but their journal system is lame. So now I'm here.

To start this off, me name's Justin. I'm Canadian. And I'm old enough. I'll put the personal info stuff in my profile sometime soon. I'm just too lazy to do it now.

I think most of my entries here will be updates on my jobsearch for my friends. They want to know what's going on with me 'cause they're nosy jerks. (Kidding, ilu guys.)

I'm getting some images made so I can personalize these entries a bit more. Maybe with a nifty header and footer set like those weird kids over on DA. Because conforming to nifty things is totally in these. Totally.

Now to finish this up. I don't feel like writing up a long entry today. Maybe tomorrow after I apply at the casket factory around the corner. Casket factory. Sounds exciting, doesn't it? Anyway, I'll have more to put in here tomorrow.

So, tata for now.
